Sunny Side Up

Gratitude & Happiness

Do all the good you can,
In all the ways you can,
To all the people you can,
In every place you can,
At all the times you can,
As long as ever you can.
– Shaker Creed.

As you can see, I believe in spreading as much love and positivity to others as possible. One of the ways I try to remain positive is by maintaining a gratitude practice. I write in a journal one good thing that happened each day as a reminder.

Some areas where I find joy and gratitude are:

I am passionate about children’s literature, and hope to someday finish and publish my middle grade novel.

Fascinated by genealogy, I’ve made it my business to record my family’s stories of events, and heirlooms.

I am grateful to share in the hobby of photography with my father as we have many excellent discussions about what makes a great photo. Shots I enjoy taking the most are macro and nature scenes. iPhoneography is another way that I enjoy recording the everyday little details of life. You can check out some of my shots here:

I am a confessed chocoholic. I find 85% dark especially soothing and it helps me focus. (Or at least it chases away the ‘dementors,’ as I like to call my inner critic voices.)

Other random but fun facts about me:
I am a collector. I have various key chains, coins, Kinder Egg toys, and stuffed animals.

I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan and have various memorabilia. The Harry Potter Lego collection sits atop my desk shelf.

Like Harry in the books, “there is a scar on my forehead” (from an accident with a door when I was 7,) although mine is in the shape of a diamond.

Thank you for your time and interest.
